Before using a bulletproof vest, first verify the product model, protection level, and scope of application, and inspect the outer carrier, protective layers, ballistic plates, and fastening components for integrity. When putting on the vest, adjust the shoulder straps and waist position to ensure a stable, snug fit against the body-avoiding settings that are either too loose or too tight. Proper fit is essential not only for comfort but also for maintaining the protective panels in the correct position.

Avoid significant folding, shifting, or unnecessary compression of the protective layers. If the vest is equipped with hard ballistic plates, ensure they are correctly installed and secured. As construction and fitting methods vary by product, always follow the manufacturer's instructions; do not attempt to modify the internal structure or add incompatible components.

Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures, humidity, or intense sunlight, and keep the vest away from chemicals that could damage the materials. If the vest becomes noticeably loose, sustains damage, or if protective components show signs of abnormality during use, stop using it immediately and inspect it. During extended periods of wear, periodically adjust and check the fastening system to ensure it does not hinder normal movement.

Bulletproof vests are safety equipment and should not be regarded as providing "absolute protection" against every conceivable threat. If the vest has sustained an actual impact, do not attempt to assess its internal integrity yourself-even if there is no visible surface damage-but instead follow the manufacturer's protocols for inspection and replacement. Additionally, regularly check the product's service life, testing records, and maintenance status to ensure the equipment remains in a compliant and functional condition.
