Product Introduction
The NVG Shroud is a core adapter component installed at the front of the ballistic helmet, used to fix the night vision device bracket. The entire set of components includes the base body Shroud itself, installation screws + nuts (secured from inside the helmet), optional accessories: shock-absorbing foam pads, and night vision device elastic fixing ropes.
Currently, there are three main material models available:
√ Engineering plastic model: Extremely lightweight, low cost, suitable for daily training and simulation scenarios, and will not impose additional weight pressure on the helmet body.
√ Aluminum/steel model: High structural strength, strong load-bearing capacity, capable of stably supporting the full weight of the night vision device, and is the mainstream choice for practical and professional mission scenarios.
√ Composite material model: Combines high-strength engineering plastic with metal reinforcement inserts, balancing lightweight and structural strength, with outstanding cost performance.
The requirements for night vision device bases vary for different types of ballistic helmets.
3 hole VAS is compatible with FAST, MICH2000,2002, ACH, and IBH ballistic helmets, with three-hole positions being universal;
Wendy/OPS-Core specific base for Wendy EXFIL helmets, with special hole positions; old PASGT helmets: old single-hole base.
Key points for purchase and use:
Prioritize confirming that the base matches the front installation holes of your own ballistic helmet. Some ballistic helmets do not require drilling holes and can be directly installed through external fixing components to avoid damaging the helmet's ballistic structure.
Prioritize choosing products with high mold accuracy to ensure a tight fit with the night vision device bracket, with no looseness or shaking during use. The original factory's guide rails of mainstream helmet models have high mold accuracy, and the night vision device brackets are almost without shaking.
